Not many of us know about “MANDALA ART“. I too didn’t know about it. I came to know about the mandala art via sushobhan. Then as usual what all curious people do, I googled it. I came to know that not only mandala art has a spiritual existence but it also exists in the psychological world. Mandala art has been used for psychological therapy for a long time now. 

 

So what exactly is mandala art?

 

According to Wikipedia A mandala (emphasis on the first syllable; Sanskrit मण्डल, maṇḍala – literally “circle”) is a geometric configuration of symbols. In various spiritual traditions, mandalas may be employed for focusing the attention of practitioners and adepts, as a spiritual guidance tool, for establishing a sacred space and as an aid to meditation and trance induction.

Some cultures even believe that mandalas are linked to our life energy. People believe that each color goes with a certain chakra. 

Chakras are energy forces linked to our bodies and our environments, and they help with our well-being. We can say, they’re a mythical technique that can bring you a lot of different benefits.

This art has been proven for relaxation. Designing and coloring mandala art make your mind relax. When you are stressed mandala art helps to calm your mind. 

By drawing mandala, your mind gets relaxed, focused, and distract thought waves by creativity.
